Alexandria Allsop – Marketing
Alexandria currently works at Frugi, in the comms team, and loves the variety of work it involves.
Her favourite TED talks are the ones that challenge our perceptions, give us perspective and kick off heated discussions! She recommends Donald Hoffman’s talk on whether the world in reality is really as we see it. Watch the talk here.
"It’s one of those big questions that makes your brain melt. It gets you talking about it!"

"I find myself nodding my way through every one of Sandberg's lectures. A true visionary leader with much to teach everyone."

A real team player who loves to get under the skin of the people he’s working with so he can deliver the right solution. Dan is keen illustrator and Creative Developer at Jarrang.
His favorite TED talk is about how the mysterious dark net is going mainstream by Jamie Bartlett
"This talk is a really interesting take on the hidden part of the web, although we all access the internet everyday – this is something relatively few people know about, or understand."
Amy Weeks – Event Management
Amy is the Sales & Events Manager for the Rick Stein Group, looking after a range of corporate and celebration events across the business. Having worked in the industry for the last 10 years, Amy’s worked on a range of creative, corporate and outdoor events, and is passionate about bringing her clients’ ideas to life by delivered fantastic experiences.
Her favourite talk is ‘How to gain control of your free time’ from Laura Vanderkam.
“We all want to find more time to do the things that matter most. I love Laura’s approach to prioritising our time and how she reminds us that time is in our hands and we can choose how we want to spend it. Even if we’re busy, we have time for what matters and to build the lives we want.”

Her favourite talk is by Brene Brown about vulnerability.
"I love her delivery and humour and the topic struck home with me, particularly since it is based on significant research. Vulnerability is so often thought to be a negative thing, especially for a woman in business, and this talk shows how positive vulnerability really is. It made me think about how important it is to be yourself."

Currently a house husband and refurbishing his family home, James’s background is in display graphics, sales, environmental issues and business sustainability.
James likes science and ideas. A keen (but poor!) surfer, he focusses on looking after his family, which gives him the flexibility to pursue things that make him happy.

Ros likes the TED talk by Elizabeth Stokoe on what a difference a word can make and how a single word can change your conversation.
"Conversation is something most of us take part in on a daily basis but it’s amazing how moving a word in a sentence or using a very similar word can exponentially change the meaning and elicit a completely different response from the people you are conversing with."
